All of those who have already submitted their reports and have already gone through their viva may pls ignore this mail.

Dear All,

as you are aware, the submission of the project work is a key requirement of your courses and due to some reason, a few of you have not been able to submit neither the synopsis not the subsequent project report as per the scheduled timelines of your respective batches. I would like to remind you of the same that in order to successfully complete the course, you guys are required to work on a project based upon the CHOSEN area of specialization (for Sem 4 PGDMO, all batches) or the area of your interest (for Sem 2, PGEM, all batches) falling in any one of the following 6 heads, Finance, HR, Marketing, Systems, Operations or International Business. This is a COMPULSORY requirement.

Pls try and fulfil the same as early as is possible.

For PGEM, July 2011 batch and APGDM, July 2009 this is your last chance to submit the synopsis and project work before your course expires in June 2013.

Project Guidelines are there in your SIS login. HR specialization guys have a dedicated version – for other specializations pls use the regular version. Pls do read the guidelines before attempting to move ahead with your project.

Key points are as below:

1. It has to be an industry based project.
2. It has to be a ‘live’ project.
3. It has to executed by you and you only.
4. We are looking for original research and effort.
5. It will help you to crystallize the relationship between theory and practice.

The process is as follows:

1.  You need to submit a synopsis of your project (as per guidelines)
2. The synopsis would evaluated by faculty members from the respective area of the topic
3. You would then receive the annotated version back
a. In case your comments state “Approved with Modifications”, then pls incorporate the suggestions in the project report
b. In case your comments state “Not Approved/Rejected”, then you would need to re-submit the synopsis and go back to step 1 (as above)
c. If it is “Approved”, then proceed with the report
4. Need to execute the project and implement any changes that are suggested to you
5. Prepare and submit a project report
6. Appear for the viva

The applicable timeline is available here (also in SIS):
Pls ensure that we receive the same before the said date(s).

For submission of the synopsis, pls look at the following steps:

1. Components:
a. Topic/Title
b. Brief Background on both the topic and the company(ies) under study
c. Objectives and Scope of YOUR project
d. Methodology of conducting the project
e. Data collection tool (questionnaire, interview questions)
f. References
g. Resume and Consent Letter from Guide
h. Pls refer to the guidelines. This list as above is indicative only.

2. Submission
a. The synopsis would be submitted via online ONLY on the website (SIS) with Student Homepage login
b. Pls adhere to the timelines laid out.

Best of Luck!

More process related info would be provided as applicable.
